Ever wondered where Pittsfield’s residential recycling ends up, or whether it actually gets recycled? Join BEAT for a free tour of the Springfield MRF (materials recovery facility) to see how recyclables from Pittsfield and other Western MA municipalities are sorted and processed before they are sent to be recycled.

The tour will take place at the MRF located in Springfield, with some availability for attendees to carpool from Pittsfield.
