The Massachusetts Energy Efficiency Partnership, based in the Center for Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy at UMass Amherst is conducting an in-depth introduction to heat pump technology and applications. Topics include how heat pumps work, types of heat pump systems, refrigerants, efficiency, cold weather operation, maintenance, heat pump equipment options, ventilation overview, and identifying applications for different types of heat pumps.

The presentation will focus on commercial, industrial, municipal and multifamily applications, but the heat pump basics at the start of the session apply to any type of building.
