Guest Presenter – Jennifer Congdon is the Deputy Director of Beyond Plastics and one of its founding staff members. She is a thoughtful and pragmatic nonprofit management and environmental policy expert with 20 years of experience. She served three New York Governors in appointed leadership positions and has led numerous organizations to reach fundraising and organizational growth goals. She has been passionate about the environment and activism since the age of eight, when she convinced her parents to participate in the boycott of McDonald’s to end their use of polystyrene. It worked! They phased out the practice in 1990. She still believes that one person can make a difference and is in awe of the power of collective action.
