Soul Fire Farm Keynote with Leah Penniman

Soul Fire Farm is an Afro-Indigenous centered community farm committed to uprooting racism and seeding sovereignty in the food system. In this inspiring video, Leah Penniman lays out the history of our racist land laws and the intersections with current policies, inequities in our food system, human health and our climate emergency.
We will unpack the wise words shared by Leah Penniman and challenge ourselves to discover next steps we can take to embody what she asks through small break-out groups. And we will have the opportunity to take action in the form of contributions to local groups doing this work.
This powerful video is the third in our ongoing Food Sovereignty series, a collaboration between two Climate Action Now groups–Regenerative Farming, Forests & Food Systems and Racism,White Supremacy and Climate Justice–along with Grow Food Northampton.
