The social science & economics of working at the landscape-scale — tune into this webinar to learn about Valuing the Impact of National Parks on Residential Property Values with Leslie Richardson, Assessing Park Visitation and Equity of Access to National Parks with John McGreevy, and visitor survey data through the lens of demographics and access to urban/neighborhood parks with Bret Meldrum.
PRESENTERS:
Leslie Richardson, Economist, NPS | Leslie Richardson is an economist with the National Park Service Social Science Program. She holds a PhD in environmental and natural resource economics from Colorado State University.
Bret Meldrum, Social Science Program Manager, NPS | Bret Meldrum has served in social science positions in the bureau for 15 years between his current positions and managing the Visitor Use and Social Sciences Branch at Yosemite National Park. During his graduate work at the University of Idaho’s Department of Conservation Social Sciences, Bret was a research assistant at the Park Studies Unit.
John McGreevy, Socioeconomic Monitoring Coordinator, NPS | John McGreevy is the Socioeconomic Monitoring Coordinator for the National Park Service Social Science Program. He comes to NPS by way of Colorado State University’s Department of Anthropology and University of Georgia’s Integrative Conservation PhD Program.
