Introduction to Smartphone/Tablet Photography

Smartphones or tablets are with you all the time without the complex controls of DSLR/Mirrorless cameras. In this class, you will begin with an overview of iPhone, Google, and Android devices, their functions, and supportive camera app features. You will review the major elements of lighting, and composition and cover the use of nearly all your devices’ functions, including in-device editing, posting, sharing, and archiving. After the deep dive into the inner working of the latest Smartphone technology, you will spend the next hour or so applying the lessons learned by creating images in and around Pleasant Valley. Make sure to bring your tablet or smartphone!
Introduction to Digital Photography – taking control of your DSLR and Mirrorless camera

Take your DSLR/Mirrorless camera system to a higher level and start to use the full capabilities of today’s powerful digital camera systems. Thad will demystify and discuss many of the key components of what makes and contributes to you creating a better photograph! Explore ISO, shutter speed, aperture, depth of field, composition, exposure pre-sets, filters, white balance, tricks of the trade, and much more. Afterward, you will spend time on the trails of Pleasant Valley applying the lessons learned. Bring your DSLR or your Mirrorless camera and your questions!
Wildlife Photography – Beyond the Basics

Spend two hours with local photographer Thad Kubis as he goes beyond the basics of wildlife photography. Topics will include metering, lighting, tripods, smartphones, DSLR or mirrorless cameras (and which is best), focal length, tips, smartphone apps, and much more. Please bring your own DSLR or Mirrorless camera!
