This guided hike will follow a vigorous loop that climbs ~1500 feet in 1.5 miles on Phelps trail. Then, it follows the Taconic Crest Trail south, descends on the Mills Hollow trail, and returns along Oblong Road to the Phelps trailhead. The hike has historical significance with crossing stone walls dating back to the early 1800s. Mills Hollow Trail was an old wagon route connecting Williamstown and Albany.

Meet at 9:00 AM at the Phelps trailhead, located on Oblong Rd, 0.3 miles south of Cricket Creek Farm. The loop is 4.3 miles with a hiking time of 2.5 – 3 hours.
