NestWatch Training
April 6 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am
NestWatch is a nationwide nest monitoring program led by Cornell’s Lab of Ornithology and supported by community members like yourself. Participating is fun, and anyone can do it – even young ones! This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to meaningful research and get an intimate window into Tree Swallow and Eastern Bluebird nesting, from incubation to fledging. This training will equip you with the knowledge and materials needed to participate.
Note: Participation in this project requires visiting your assigned nestbox at least once a week to collect data over a period of about 6 weeks (a full nesting attempt). Nesting typically begins in late April and continues until early July.
During the training, participants will be equipped with all the necessary materials (binoculars, clipboards, etc.), but please bring binoculars if you have them.
