Misunderstood Wildlife: Ravens – Online
December 7, 2021 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
December 7, 2021 (Tuesday) 7:00-8:00pm
Location: Online
Instructor: Patti Steinman – Education Coordinator, Arcadia
Perhaps it is their watchful eyes or loud calls. Perhaps it is that ravens are scavengers and thus found around dead things. Or perhaps it’s because of Edgar Allen Poe’s famous work, which associated ravens with death and doom. The truth is that ravens are possibly the most intelligent of all birds; and in the wider animal kingdom, their intelligence equals that of a dolphin’s. Ravens are also very resourceful, which sometimes results in behaviors or situations that humans can misunderstand. Once you learn about these ultra-smart and amazing birds, you’ll be marveling at their intelligence and understand them in a whole new light.
