On September 28, we held our inaugural meeting of the MA Deconstruction Workgroup, with trailblazing speakers from the deconstruction work arena and nearly 100 attendees. You can find the recording and presentations at this link.
On December 14, get ready to be inspired as we take a deep dive into the process of taking buildings apart! We are excited to have several leading experts joining us who are experienced practitioners with Building Deconstruction, including:
- Dave Bennink, Reuse Innovation Center and Building Deconstruction Institute
- Erich Kruger and Dave Giese, Deconstruction Works
We will hear how these practitioners approach deconstruction projects, with a close look at national trends; costs for deconstruction vs. demolition and scheduling impacts; ideal structures for deconstruction (residential and commercial); and selling materials.
Come with your questions and an open mind – it’s time that we get serious about better ways to manage construction and demolition materials.
Who should attend: Municipal officials, advocacy groups, historic preservationists, architects/engineers/construction professionals, demolition businesses, waste haulers, building materials and reuse organizations, solid waste and recycling professionals.
