Healthy Soils and Climate Smart Farming

Join Mothers Out Front as they celebrate United Nations World Soil Day by learning about healthy soil as a carbon sink and climate change solution.
In this webinar, you’ll hear from soil scientist Ruben Parilla, Soil Technical Coordinator for NOFA/Mass, and climate-smart farmers Annemarie Walsh of Langwater Farm in North Easton and Chuck Currie of Freedom Food Farm in Raynham. Learn how you can be a climate advocate through your food and farm choices as well as through collective action.

Their help was instrumental in passing and funding the MA Healthy Soil Action Plan – a comprehensive survey of the types of soils in the state and how each can be managed to sequester carbon and build soil health.
