Guided Hike: Examine the Local Effects of Climate Change
July 27 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am
Join Williamstown Rural Lands board member Allen Pope on July 27 from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. for a hike along the Taconic Crest & Shepherd’s Well Trails while discussing how the local climate has shifted through the history of Williamstown. Views from the hike across to Mt. Greylock and along the Taconics show evidence of wildly different climates of the past and the group will stop at the weather station to see how we monitor climate change today. This hike is approximately 3.0 miles and considered moderate. Meet at the Petersburg Pass Trailhead along Rt. 2 just over the border from Williamstown into Petersburg, NY. For registration and details, visit rurallands.org/events, call 413-458-2494, or email trails@rurallands.org.
