Fall Phenomena: Transition to Cold Weather

December 10 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Explore how native plants and animals respond to shorter days, colder temperatures, and changes in availability of food and water. Plants experience dormancy, while trees face winter head-on by shifting their metabolism to weather the elements and protect delicate structures. Animals undergo incredible changes in metabolism, behavior, and more. Learn more about these seasonal cycles and how climate change is impacting them.

This standalone program is part of the 4-session online Fall Phenomena Series. Register for the full series before it starts on 9/17/24 to get all 4 sessions (9/17 In the Field; 10/8 In the Forest; 11/12 Seeds, Nuts, & Berries; 12/10 Transition to Cold Weather) for the price of 3.
