The Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs (EEA) is convening the Environmental Justice Council (EJC) for its next meeting. The primary purpose of this meeting is to make final a set of advisory comments and edits on EEA’s draft Environmental Justice Strategy, to be submitted to EEA on behalf of the EJC. The EJC will have the opportunity to meet María Belén Power, Undersecretary of Environmental Justice and Equity. In addition, the EJC will discuss the schedule and locations of its future meetings for this year. There is also time allotted for general comments from the public.  This meeting will be hosted virtually on Zoom and is estimated to last 90 minutes. Interpretation will be provided in Spanish, Portuguese, Mandarin, Haitian Creole, Vietnamese, and Cape Verdean Creole.

The EJ Council operates under the Open Meeting Law [www.mass.gov/the-open-meeting-law] and welcomes members of the public who wish to observe its formal meetings. During the meeting, an observer may address a comment or question to the EJ Council with permission of the Chair. Requests must be submitted 48 hours prior to meeting start time.
