Join Berkshire Lyme Alliance as we help each other navigate Lyme Disease and Co-Infections, which in New England are now pandemic (an epidemic of infectious disease that has spread through human populations across a large region; even worldwide).
It seems like you cannot go anywhere or talk to anyone without hearing another story about someone who has a ‘mystery illness’ that was ‘finally’ diagnosed as Lyme Disease and/or Co-Infections after years of making the rounds in the medical community and often getting misdiagnosed with chronic fatigue, IBS, Crohn’s Disease, Fibromyalgia, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s Disease, ALS, Lupus, Migraines, Alzheimer’s Disease, or as a psychiatric disorder.
Lyme is often referred to as the ‘great imitator’, and symptoms can mimic over three hundred different illnesses; thus, there is ample room for misdiagnosis. With 55,000 new cases of Lyme Disease alone in Massachusetts annually (and those are just the cases that have been reported, and this does not count the numerous other tick-borne diseases one may be infected with that go unreported), it isn’t safe to not to know how to avoid contracting these diseases, what to do if bitten by a tick, and how to get quality care if you’ve become sick from a tick bite.
Learn the latest on how members are healing effectively. At Berkshire Lyme Alliance, you will learn how to get the help you need if you’ve become infected and how to protect yourself and your loved ones from tick bites and the deadly bacterial diseases many ticks carry. Because, unlike other diseases that affect percentages of people, Lyme Disease and Co-Infections threaten ALL OF US.
