The Bel Air Dam located between Lenox Ave and Wahconah St in Pittsfield is structurally deficient. A failure of the dam at maximum pool may cause loss of life and damage to downstream buildings and roadways. The Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) Office of Dam Safety (ODS) has partnered with the City of Pittsfield and AECOM (an engineering firm) to address dam deficiencies. Come to hear what is being done.
