An Energy Storage Webinar
February 16, 2022 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm
Wednesday, February 16 @ 12:00 — 1:30 p.m. via Zoom
Massachusetts Climate Action Network, Prince Lobel, and the Berkshire Environmental Action Team invite you to an energy storage webinar on February 16, 2022.
MCAN and BEAT are advocacy organizations currently involved in transitioning peakers off of fossil fuels. Prince Lobel is a Boston law firm with a robust renewable energy practice of attorneys with experience in all aspects of renewable energy and clean technology, serving as counsel in numerous efforts to accelerate clean energy in utility energy projects in Massachusetts. Other panelists include Chris Sherman of Cogentrix, the peaker power plant owner who is currently planning to transition their aging Pittsfield, Lee and West Springfield plants to storage by December of 2023; Seth Mullendore of Clean Energy Group, who specialize in informing clean energy transitions; and MCAN, one of the key environmental organizations in the Peabody Peaker issue.
This webinar will showcase recent advances in policy, technology and pricing that support an accelerated transition to large-scale battery storage as an effective clean energy strategy. Battery storage providers, experts in energy law, advocates working with utilities on transitioning to clean power, and clean energy transition consultants supporting the utility deployment of clean energy technologies nationwide will share insights into effective pathways forward.
This event is for advocates, utility staff, local and state decision makers, and clean energy financiers wanting to learn more about:
– Clean energy technology options available to generate and store clean energy.
– The policy and financing aspects that make battery storage appealing to industry and communities alike.
– Regulatory and administrative reforms needed to accelerate a utility-scaled clean energy transition.
Participants will have the opportunity to network and exchange ideas about opportunities and challenges to accelerate the generation and distribution of clean energy storage.
