Jane Winn honored as a Commonwealth Heroine

We are thrilled to announce that our own executive director Jane Winn was named one of the 2020 Commonwealth Heroines of Massachusetts. From the awards, “Jane is widely known in the Berkshires and beyond as a tireless advocate for the environment and someone whose integrity is beyond reproach. In line with advocating for wildlife, Jane has been particularly sensitive to the environmental justice community – the human population without economic means or political muscle. She understands that people suffer similar loss of livelihood, health, and habitat at the hands of powerful interests and she works hard to recruit from and include this population in BEAT’s effort to achieve an equitable and sustainable future.” We are proud to be your team and can’t wait to see where BEAT goes in the coming years.
