Next River Cleanup 6/14/2010

River Cleanup of June 19, 2010

We met at Fred Garner Park on Pomeroy Ave in Pittsfield. Here is a google map of the location.

Some people cleaned from land. The rest carpooled to Fairfield Street to clean the river between Fairfield and Taylor St joined by several neighbors. Many of us took canoes back down the river to Fred Garner Park, cleaning as we went. Several people stayed at the South Street bridge and helped clean that stretch and hauled all the trash up to the bridge. There was some big stuff in this stretch! It should be a challenge.
