NestWatch Training

April 12 @ 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm

NestWatch is a nationwide program led by Cornell’s Lab of Ornithology, supported by community members like you. It’s a fun and rewarding way to contribute to important research while observing Tree Swallow and Eastern Bluebird nesting. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced birdwatcher, anyone can participate!

This training with Berkshire Natural Resources Council will provide you with everything you need to get started, including the knowledge and materials to monitor nests.

Sign up for this event on BNRC’s volunteer management system here

Note:Participation in this project requires visiting your assigned nestbox at least once a week to collect data over a period of about 6 weeks (a full nesting attempt).

What to Bring: During the training, participants will be equipped with all the necessary materials (binoculars, clipboards, etc.), but please bring binoculars if you have them. Please also bring a pen or pencil.
