Volunteer for Earth Day: Trash Cleanup with BEAT at Burbank Park
April 19 @ 9:30 am - 12:00 pm
In honor of Earth Day, BEAT and Pittsfield Parks Department invite community members to take part in a volunteer clean-up at Burbank Park this Saturday, April 19, from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM. A free lunch will be provided for all participants following the event.
If you aren’t familiar with Burbank Park, it’s located along the scenic shoreline of Onota Lake in Pittsfield and is a beloved public space that has unfortunately become impacted by illegal dumping and littering. This community clean-up aims to restore the park’s natural beauty and protect local wildlife by removing trash from key areas throughout the grounds.
Volunteers will meet at the Onota Lake Boat Launch at 9:30 AM and will be grouped to cover different sections of the park. Gloves, trash bags, and other materials will be provided. Participants are encouraged to bring a full water bottle, wear sturdy footwear, and dress for the weather that day.
The event is open to all ages, and families, school groups, and organizations are encouraged to attend. Registration required.
RSVP using this form so we know how much food to purchase for lunch. And please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions that we should keep in mind!
