Follow this poetic and beautifully illustrated book to learn all about the mysterious lives of fungi. Discover where mushrooms live, what they look like, what they do in the ecosystem and how they can help (or hurt) humans. The walk is approximately 0.3 miles out-and-back. The reading level for this book is Grades 1 – 3, but the illustrations will keep younger folks entertained and there are plenty of fungi facts and identification tips for adults to learn too!This story will be available throughout the month of August. The walk begins at the far end of the swimming area at Margaret Lindley Park (opposite end from the parking lot) and the park is open dawn to dusk.
