Plant and Tree Walk at the D.A.R. State Forest, Goshen, MA. Join Naturalist and Director of the Tamarack Hollow Nature and Cultural Center in Windsor, MA for an easy plant and tree ID walk on a 1 mile round trip walk on the accessible nature trail. Experience this stunning Hemlock forest along the shores of upper highland lake and learn how to identify both coniferous and deciduous trees and late spring plants and flowers in bloom. Info about flora uses, wild edibles and cultural context will be shared. The hike will conclude with a .5 mile round trip walk up the road from the trailhead to the bird blind over the marsh and to the nature center. Program is free, donations accepted.
