Energy Efficient Homebuilding & Retrofitting Workshop on February 6th

Egremont, MA — The Egremont Green Committee invites area residents to attend a climate
action webinar on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, 5:30-7:30 p.m. via Zoom. The free, virtual
event, entitled “Eergy Efficient Homebuilding & Retrofitting” will feature experts specializing in sustainable building technologies – including designing net energy homes, or accessory dwelling units (ADU’s), installing PV solar, and how to access federal and state incentives and rebates for new home construction, or upgrades to existing structures. A Q&A session follows the presentations.

Featured speakers on February 6th will include Ned Wilson, a solar array designer for
ReVision Energy, Evan Hardcastle, owner of sustainable residential construction company,
377 Builders, and Larry Chretien, executive director of the Green Energy Consumer Alliance.
This energy efficient buildings workshop is part of the Egremont Green Committee’s
educational series aimed at “bringing climate action home.” The series provides practical and timely tools for residents to protect the natural environment. This workshop is made possible by a FY’24 MVP Action Grant, from MA Executive Office of Energy & Environmental Affairs. The grant is supporting Egremont’s efforts to implement strategies from their MVP Climate Action Plan.
